Caviar Bar – St Petersburg

When in Russia eat caviar and live like a Czar. I decided to visit The Belmond Grand Hotel Europe in St. Petersburg. Its a famous established old school hotel that hosts a good mix of well to do locals and travelers. It has a caviar bar and after a long day, I book the last seating of the night on a weekday.

Then I order a dessert named after the famous Russian Ballerina Anna Pavlova. Again it was good.

Legend says that she sat at this table before performances and touched the fountain head for good lunch, so I do the same.  IMG_0398IMG_0400

Then its time for tea and a few last sweets. IMG_0408

And one for the road! IMG_0410

I walk out after my great meal to find the lobby bars filled with locals. I decided to go for just one more drink… again it was good. IMG_0411
