I had an overnight layover in Shanghai and decided to stay in Xintiandi, an upscale neighborhood with a mix of new high end hotels and restored historical districts filled with high end boutiques and up scale dining.
I used some Hyatt points to stay at the Andaz Hotel, a trendy hotel, with a mix of tourists and business guests.
One of the restaurants were under renovation so the hotel breakfast was served in the lobby lounge, a small space with low tables not idea for enjoying breakfast. Other than that the hotel was great.
With limited time, I went to explore the surrounding area before checking out. I didn’t have time to stop by the gym and pool.
I really liked the wood floors. Just feels cleaner.
The bathroom as nice with mood lighting, the sink lights up too.
You can see the bath tub shower with the mood lighting too.
Nice view from a high floor.
With the morning another view. Also clear blue skies!
The elevator and hallway.
Nice lobby art..
The lobby, breakfast was a bit crowded at the lobby lounge. Not ideal.
Xintiandi, is an historic area with many restored historic buildings. Many high end shops and restaurants cater to a high end crowd.
