The French Laundry by Thomas Keller. This place needs no introduction. The restaurant has a legendary reputation with reservations nearly impossible to come by. Thomas Keller’s “Oysters and Pearls” course is truly remarkable. Our party started with a bottle of Mumm Napa DVX Rose in the patio garden area with the famous blue doors.
After the sparkling rose a generous friend ordered a great bottle of Montrachet – a great complement to our meal. Even the decor details lived up to the “laundry’ theme.
The kitchen was being remodeled and temporally in shipping containers with large windows so you could see all the action. Also across the street from the restaurant you can see the garden where they grow lots of the food on the menu.
