The Park Hyatt Beijing is located on the top floors of a high rise office tower in one of the central business districts. On a clear day the views are grand. I could see the mountains surrounding the city. The rooms were large, with a large bathroom and dressing area.
Breakfast at the hotel’s main restaurant on the top floor has a good buffet set up with views to match.
Amazing sunrise view.
View of CCTV building designed by Rem Koolhaas.
Views from my room, you can make out the mountains surrounding Beijing.
Duck for Dinner…
Again, duck for dinner… Why nor order two Ducks… When in Beijing…
After dinner late night swim… again with great views of the city.
View of the city at night.
While in Beijing I did the tourist stuff. First stop the Forbidden City, It was cold, but almost no tourists and a crystal clear blue sky!
The panorama below shows you how empty the palace was when we visited.
A few of the famous corner towers.
Then off the the Great Wall, again clear blue skies, and virtually no tourists.
Last stop to get some Eastern medical treatment in at Tongrentang.
The PEK airport is impressive.
